Kristy has specialised in insurance litigation since qualifying as a solicitor in 1995, working with and for Insurers, gaining extensive experience in professional negligence disputes as well as insurance policy coverage, response and interpretation and other commercial litigation. She is also familiar with FOS procedures and claims, ADR and adjudication processes and conduct. Kristy has acted for construction professionals in defending claims against them, likewise for insurance brokers, stockbrokers, accountants, construction businesses and other commercial organisations. She also has regulatory experience, having acted for directors of insurance entities in FCA enquiries as well as advising clients on aspects of FSMA. Kristy’s broad experience extends to acting in many complex litigious disputes on both sides of the claimant/defendant fence from the perspectives of both private practice and in-house, within one of the UK’s largest professional indemnity insurance agencies. Kristy strongly believes that legitimate claims upon insurers deserve to be treated fairly.
